Kim Bong-gon became the first openly gay writer in Korea when he came out in an interview after winning the Dong-A Ilbo Shinchunmunye Contest 2016. His short story collection Speed, Summer, featuring his debut piece “Auto,” was published by Munhakdongne in 2018.

Park Kyoung-lee is a freelance translator based in Korea. Her translation of Modern Family (2015) by Cheon Myeong-kwan was named in World Literature Today’s 75 Notable Translations of 2015. She won the LTI Korea Translation Award for Aspiring Translators in 2010.
